Privilege

Today, Aldon Smith was arrested for a DUI, hit and run and vandalism then he was released by the San Francisco 49ers.   Smith is currently on 3 year probation for a previous DUI, and suspended by the NFL for nine games in 2014   That suspension was due to a violation of the substance policy and the personal conduct policy.  New York Jets Sheldon Richardson is also dealing with a suspension for substance abuse, and was arrested for driving 140 mph with a child inside, plus the car was smelling of marijuana.   Smith and Richardson should realized it is a privilege to play in the NFL and it can be taken away at any time.    Expect both of them to serve a severe suspension, and for Smith, if he is signed by another team the suspension will have to be served before plays.
