Trevone Boykin was an outstanding college football player at TCU, Heisman Trophy finalist, and a possible NFL first round pick. Wednesday night he was arrested for a felony assault, public intoxication, and resisting arrest. He was drinking at Pat O’Brien an establishment in San Antonio, Texas. He was suspended for the Alamo Bowl against Oregon. He was in his room for curfew and was drinking with his teammate wide receiver Preston Miller. Miller was also suspended for his behavior, and this is another example of a college football player during some stupid and getting suspended for it. This is a teachable moment for young athletes and reminded them don’t be that guy. The statement means don’t be the person who gets mentioned on television for doing something stupid.
