Corey Kluber pitched 6 innings of shutout ball and struck out 9 during the game. Roberto Perez hit two home runs, driving in 4 runs. That combination led the Cleveland Indians to a 6-0 win over the Chicago Cubs in-game one of the World Series. I was surprised that Indians Manager Terry Francona would lift Kluber in the seventh, but Andrew Miller and Cody Allen held the Cubs to three hits in the last three innings. Cubs pitcher John Lester pitched good but gave up three runs in 5.2 innings. This was the game the Indians had to win because if they lost the first two games it would have been tough to come back. Tomorrow night game 2 will start at 7:08 P.M. because of the possibility of rain. Jake Arrieta will start for the Cubs. While Trevor Bauer will take the hill for the Indians. Bauer suffered an injury to his right pinkie and left game three of the ALCS against Toronto after two-third of an inning. Bauer will have to pitch great against Arrieta or this series is tied going into game three on Friday night at Wrigley Field.
