Week 16 Vs Ravens

It was a typical Steelers-Ravens game and that means it is close in the 4th quarter.   The Ravens held the lead in the 4th quarter.  Them Le’veon Bell caught a touchdown pass with  7:18 left in the game to give the Steelers a  24-20 lead.     Joe Flacco drove the Ravens down to the Steelers ten-yard line, and then Kyle Juszczyk scored on a touchdown run to give them a 27-24  lead with 1:18 left in the game.     Ben Roethlisberger drove the Steelers on a 10 play 75-yard drive to the Ravens 4 yard line.   Then hit Antonio Brown for the winning touchdown with 09 seconds left.   Brown had to stretch to break the plain of the goal line.  If he didn’t time would have run out on the Steelers.  Instead, it was a 31-27 victory for the Steelers and they clinched the AFC North Division title.

Ben Roethlisberger threw for 279 yards and 3 touchdowns, plus 2 interceptions.    Bell rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown.   Antonio Brown had a slow start but made 9 catches for 96 yards and the winning touchdown. The defense had two sacks and an interception, they held down the Ravens running game. Next week’s game against the Cleveland Browns doesn’t mean much as far as playoff positioning.    Kickoff will be at Heinz Field next Sunday at 1:00 P.M.

Week 15 Vs Bengals

The Steelers were trailing 20-9 to the Cincinnati Bengals at halftime.   They were making too many penalties and the defense allowed the Bengals to make some big plays.   In the second half,  the defense held the Bengals scoreless getting one sack plus an interception. They held the Bengals to 76 yards rushing for the game and held Andy Dalton to 157 yards passing.  The Steelers kept their cool during the second half, but the Bengals make some costly penalties.  Le’veon Bell ran the ball for 93 yards with the offensive line opening some holes.  Ben Roethlisberger threw for 286 yards and the game-winning touchdown pass to Eli Rogers with under 8 minutes left in the game.    The biggest star of the game was Chris Boswell who kicked 6 field goals and tied a single game Steeler record.

The Steelers 24-20 victory over Cincinnati gives them a 9-5 record and a 5 game winning streak.  They can clinch a playoff berth and the AFC North title against the Baltimore Ravens Christmas Day at Heinz Field with kickoff at 4:25 P.M.

Week 13 Vs Giants

It was a total victory for the Steelers over the NY Giants this afternoon. Le’veon Bell had his 3rd straight 100-yard game by rushing for 118 yards.  Ben Roethlisberger threw for 289 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Ladarius Green had his best game as a Steeler, 6 catches for 110 yards and a touchdown.  The defense had 2 interceptions, 2 sacks, and 3 great goal line stands.   Randy Bullock who started for the injured Chris Boswell kicked 3 field goals.  The only thing that bothered me was the 12 penalties and they have to clean that up going into next week.   The Steelers 24 to 14 win over the NY Giants kept pace with Baltimore.  The Steelers can’t overlook the Buffalo Bills next Sunday afternoon at Ralph Wilson Stadium with kickoff at 1:00 P.M.
